Goyo Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Goyo (the “App”). By installing and using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

The App is a tool that assists apnea (breath-hold) and freediving training, providing:

• Training timers and protocols such as CO₂/O₂ tables
• Recording and visualization of heart rate and SpO₂ via Bluetooth (BLE) sensor pairing
• Storage and statistics of training records
• AI coaching analysis (subject to a monthly limit for free users; includes ads)

The operator may improve or change the service; material changes will be announced through the App or this page.

2. ⚠️ Safety Notice and Responsibility (Must Read)

Breath-hold and apnea training carries inherent risks, including loss of consciousness (blackout), hypoxia, and death. You must understand and follow the points below.

• Never practice breath-holding alone in or near water. Blackout in a pool, the sea, or similar settings leads directly to drowning and death. Always conduct in-water training under the direct supervision of a qualified buddy or instructor.
• Do not train using the App in any situation where a loss of consciousness would be dangerous, such as while driving or bathing.
• Consider your own health condition and consult a physician beforehand if necessary. Refrain from use if you have cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, are pregnant, or have other risk factors.
• The App is only a training aid and does not replace formal education or guidance from a certified instructor.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any outcome — including injury, deterioration of health, or death — arising from use of the App or from breath-hold training. All training is performed at your own discretion and risk.

3. Medical Disclaimer

All information provided by the App — including AI analysis, scores, feedback, and statistics — is for reference to improve training performance and is not medical diagnosis, advice, or treatment. Always consult a professional for health-related decisions. Sensor readings (heart rate, SpO₂, etc.) are based on consumer-grade devices, may be inaccurate, and must not be used for medical purposes.

4. Eligibility

The App is not intended for anyone under the age of 14. Minors should use it with the consent of a guardian.

5. AI Analysis, Fees, and Ads

• AI analysis is subject to a monthly limit for free users (currently 3 per month); the limit may be changed by the operator.
• The App may include advertising (Google AdMob banners).
• If additional plans such as paid subscriptions are introduced, separate terms will be announced.

6. User Obligations

You must not:

• Reverse-engineer, copy, or modify the App without authorization, or access/load the server abnormally
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits such as the AI analysis quota
• Violate applicable laws or infringe the rights of others

The operator may restrict service use in case of violation.

7. Intellectual Property

Rights to the App and its content (software, design, text, the expressive form of AI-generated results, etc.) belong to the operator or the rightful owner. Training records, notes, and similar content you enter belong to you, and the App processes them only as necessary to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as-is.” The operator does not warrant the App’s integrity, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability, nor the accuracy of sensor integration or AI analysis results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App. The disclaimer in Section 2 (Safety Notice) applies with priority.

10. Changes to the Terms

If these Terms change, we will provide notice through the App or this page; continued use after such notice constitutes agreement to the changes.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are construed under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the court of competent jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
